Quatrain Of Try As I Might

Try As I Might - I really do

If I could feel your pain,
what good would it do
for your
soul?

I can have empathy, if I
must, but you can
skip moral
control?

I try to understand your
pain, I try to make
sense of your
plight,

But nothing I do can take
away your problems,
try as I
might.
