Quatrain of Shadow Covering
Shadow Covering - covering faults
Standing by a stream, I saw the
shadow of my life reflected
in the water
serum.
Frayed around the edges, it
bounced with each ripple,
like a poorly crafted
theorem.
I carefully took my shadow,
placed it on my body and
covered my faults so
glaring.
I no longer must explain to
my friends, the theory
of darkness, I am
wearing.
