Yorktown Disciple
Quatrain of Age Numbers

Never old

When we were young we thought
we were grown up,
passed around
a few
beers.

Coming of age was distinctly
unique, it felt as though
our heads were
outside of our
ears.

Looking back, we were just kids,
believing age was taught
by number -
nothing more
mistaken,

There are those who grow up early,
most of us grow up late,
but age numbers
should be
forsaken.
