Wasted Youth - I did

I spent my whimsical
youth growing up,
such a waste of
time,

I could have stayed
childlike and played
until old age was
mine.

If I had known what
was coming, I would
have remained a
juvenile,

Life would have been
easier to traverse had
I pretended growing
up would turn out
worthwhile.
