Quatrain of Using Soap

Using Soap - doesn't work

When I was a child and used foul
language in public, my mother
washed my mouth
out with
soap,

Now that I'm grown, I can use vile
prose with clean breath to
get my point across
and not have to
grope.

Once you decide my words should be
curbed, liberty and all its foibles
tend to be trapped
in the pie
hole,

Trying to nip speech in the bud with
a bar of soap only leaves a
fresh mouth: language
it doth not
control.
