Quatrain of Upon This Earth

Upon This Earth - a place we share

The native Indian was once,
at one with nature, the
white man was
at two with
God.

With the Indian taking care
of the land, the white
man was free to
use a spiritual
rod.

The divining feature of the
earth upon which we stand
is complementary
to all who
walk,

To believe one group of people
are closer to the earth is to
believe others are closer
to God the
rock.
