Quatrain of Took The Weight

Heavy load

You took the weight of the
world off my eyelids so
I could focus
on the road
ahead,

Without the pressure of living
so close to me, I can
bring meaning
to my life
instead.

There is no confusion in my
mind but there is the
making of a
wrong turn
upending,

I will need to keep my eyes
wide open to avoid
whatever evil I
know is surely
impending.
