O!, Thy longing to be a "cheesehead",
a rite of royal passion straight
from the dairy
fields,

Tis the best of Wisconsin, the magic
of the Glacial Stage and all the
richness that it
yields.

Straight from the evergreens of
blessed thought, down to righteous
love nestled in country
giving,

Land of milk and untamed rivers, the
best of human conditions, in a
region where life is worth
living.
