Quatrain of Utah

Utah (1896)

Begotten! I stretch my legs
in the "Promised Land as a
humble servant before my
God,

The plateau of the reverent,
the snow covered caps of
religious freedom blowing over
sod,

These regions of wonderful
features, the smiles on those
who work to make life
good,

A land full of riches, I hope
to raise my family and take
of its wealth like a
Robin Hood.
