with self-serving conviction
beyond merely
hope,

This doesn't mean he is
delusional, it gives him
the best chance to
cope.

When left empty handed
in a world were evil is
rampant, firepower is
imperative,

An armed man might stand,
but naked he is sure to
eventually becomes
death's narrative.
