Self Pity - we all have it

You are quietly taught you are being
persecuted because there
are fewer of you than
there are of
them,

You constantly use race to explain
your failures no matter how
you're treated or whence
heartaches
stem.

Most of your life is wasted on being
entrenched in looking at
yourself and noticing
the color of your
skin,

There are some places in the world
where this behavior is rational,
but not here in America
where it is a deadly
sin.
