Running Away - you might have to

I saw your loving coming
from a mile away,
I braced
for its
effect,

I thought I was prepared
to respond in kind,
but our souls
didn't
connect.

Love often comes without
warning and is
not always a
welcomed
sight,

When I saw love coming I was
not ready to embrace, I
had no other choice, my
heart had to take
flight.
