Trust - confident expectation


I'll bet you never knew I
wanted your love before
grace became
everlasting,

It was in my DNA and
my heart couldn't say
no to needs it was
forecasting.

But when you turned
me away I fell like a rock
heading for an earthen
crust,

Alas! My emptiness
slammed into the face
of God  - I now, no longer
trust.
