Quatrain of Scatological Coal

Sactological - fossil excrement

O, thy blackened face, thy lips puffed
and waiting for the wife's
embrace,

The leather in the miner's whisper left
in the hollows of the shaft after
grace.

With scatological coal piled in heaps
and taken up to the earth's floor in
leaps,

The sun comes out at the end of the
shift just before the miner's soul
sleeps.
