Quatrain of Poem Repair

Repair - amending a broken heart

I wrote a poem just for you in
order to express fondness deep
within,

The words didn't flatten out as
smoothly as doe beneath a rolling
pin.

To be brusque, I left affectionate
lumps that put your heart in
despair,

I am stuck rewriting all my love
and shuffling thoughts in a poem
repair.
