Quatrain of Pet Me
Quatrain of Pet Me

Pet Me - would would love it

I was hoping to be your lap dog,
I would follow you anywhere
on earth with
a dogged
desire,

I would bark at night, I would
howl under the moon whenever
your warm eyes forced
real love to
transpire.

You wouldn't need a leash, without
fail I would be obedient, your
loving treats would
never be
denied,

I was hoping to be your lap dog,
I would pant, you could pet
my soul; I would forever
stay by your
side.
