Quatrain of Not Old Enough
Quatrain of Not Old Enough

Getting Old - never old enough

I have never been
old enough to
play out my
desires,

I couldn't love when
I was young so I
wait for later
fires,

As I age I haven't
learned what it
is to be a
king,

The older I get, the
smaller becomes
the brass
ring.
