Quatrain of Myself

Myself - who do you love?

I was a fool not to stay with you,
not to wrap myself in your
arms,

I wasn't ready to understand
my thoughts or relate to your
charms,

I was looking to cash in on my
innate ability to finesse life to
standby,

I was turned inside out, and
thought all I needed was me,
myself and I.
