Quatrain of Monoatomic Gas
Quatrain of Monatomic Gas Blues

Monatomic -  gas that consists of
a single atom

1.
Thy world of floating gas,
quietly lifting depression
from the floor

Causing pain and misery,
as it rises up to meet
sadness, I abhor.

Standard revelations,
the worst of growling
schemes that accrue,

To find the bottom of a
vaporous life, that made
me feel so blue.

2.
Atomic particles God left
me to unscramble, in the
hopes I could find,

The best there is in
molecular wisdom, that
jumped me from behind.

The hurt that laid me bare, as
grief filled a world without
common sense,

Has left the worst in me,
totally blind, and lost in gas,
so placid and so dense.
