Quatrain of Misspent Love

Misspent Love - all for not

Ever since you left, my soul
wanders the scornful
corridors of
pain.

The last remembrance of
the love I had was acutely
still-born in
vain.

I must now realign past
feelings and take possession
of the life I
am,

Nothing cuts as deep as
misspent love and rips
the heart out of
man.
