Quatrain of Loving God

loving God - not easy

I could not love the God of Heaven,
if He had a gender, it would
be too much to ask
for my sexual
persuasion.

If God were a man I would be put
off by his manhood, if He were
a female, I'd be put
off by a hormone
invasion.

It's not that I wouldn't admire my
Creator, it's just that it would be
too human to love a creature
of my species to
occur.

For love is emotionally based and in
order to belong to a extraneous
existence, I must find
love of a spiritual
caliber.
