Quatrain of Inheriting The Earth

Inheriting The Earth - it was once mine

I am guilty of sinning, but
none so damaging as
lying to myself
without
remorse.

I thought I was perfect, I
engaged to tell others to
live their lives like
mine, of
course.

But my life was mostly a lie,
I pretended to be moral
and honest to
the tenth
degree,

I was determined to gracefully
glissade through life and
inherit the earth,
as if I the
trustee.
