Features - main characteristics

1.
There are tears rolling down
my checks, I am thinking of
my mother, the
saint.

God took here from me just
as I was learning to
manipulate moral
restraint.

I never had the chance to
show her I was becoming
a man born her
child,

I never had the chance to
tell her how pretty she
was when she
smiled.

2.
I have a guilt laden soul with
the burden of a thousand
growing disgraceful
sins,

I had the time to straighten
out my life but chose to
ignore the reason life
begins.

I thought I was clever enough
to wade through the evil
that surrounds all
creatures,

It was only after my mother
was gone did I realize she
took with her all my finest
features.
