Eyes Open - able to see while
asleep

Why close thine eyes when
sound asleep - keep them
open as though
the mind is
free?

If the shadows of night are
dark enough to shun light,
there should be
very little to
see.

But eyeing the world when
at rest, to watch unholy
movement, could
keep the brain
aware,

Sleeping wouldn't be a total
fade out, observing the
world would be a
twenty-four hour
affair.
