Baseball earth - is earth a giant baseball?

If the earth is round and
flying through space like
a baseball once
spun,

Does it mean that we have
been struck hard and are
headed for a
homerun?

And when we finally sail
over the edge of infinity,
honed as sharp as a
knife,

Will eternity be the loser,
or will it mean we have
won the game of
life?
