Quatrain of Astral Ride
Astral Ride - in spirit only
1.
He road into town on a horse
with a broken
back.
He road with his head high
and his butt on a
sack.
He road with eyes tearing as
if seeing would
betide.
He was a poet of weak horses
in search of an astral
ride.
2.
The horse was a riding sensation
trotting on all
fours.
The poet was finding words
left over from saddle
sores.
Necromantic blessings came
along for the ride in
celebration,
Though the horse was broken,
the ride was a magical
sensation.
