Grunt - the sound of diminishing returns

1.
America's noble days are behind us,
drifting distance each passing
day,

The independent rule of the European
philosophy, alarmingly in rapid
decay.

We have lost the fear of God;
we have sought the acceptance of all
views,

We no longer fathom the importance
of morally embracing Christian
dues.

2.
We long for approval, to be loved
by all the world and the filth it
brings,

We feel as though we prospered
unfairly because we know freedom
rings.

We find it amusing to feed stray
creatures instead of teaching them to
hunt.

May God have mercy, as the stars
and stripes burn, and apathy begins to
grunt.
