Quatrain of Poor Body

Poor Body - shame

If God lent me this body, to
carry around my soul
and all its
glory,

Why did He give me a broken
down bone structure
to tell my
story?

I would have thought my body
would have been
a superb
model,

After all, my spirit is the grandest
part of me, but carrying
it makes my body
waddle.
