Quatrain of Phone Picking

Phone Picking - the art of telephoning
has changed

We no longer pick up the telephone,
we touch a screen with
a simple finger
paw,

The excitement of hearing a
friends voice is no longer
'tween the ear and the
jaw.

Voices pop out of every crevice,
facial features yearn
with attention
demanding,

No longer is communicating over distance an exciting adventure,
it transmits the art of a
crash landing.
