Quatrain of On The Curb

On The Curb - staying out of
the fast lane

I was correct to step to
the curb and let the
world pass me
by,

I wasn't ready for fast
traffic and watch my
failures continue to
amplify.

I have been told since I
was a child, to get in
the fast lane and
go for my
goal,

I do not need to accomplish
grand expectations, I just
need to walk along side
the road and believe in
my soul.
