Quatrain of Occasional Failure

Occasional Failure - it happens

I met disappointment when I was
very young, it hurts as
much now as it did
then,

I have tried to avoid becoming
disillusioned simply by not
trying anything new
again.

This has not worked out well, I
find myself failing ever so
often no matter how hard I
try,

I might as well work with gusto
rather than not, and let
disappointment visit
occasionally
like and
old ally.
