Quatrain of My Own Prayers

My Own Prayers - let them come from
the heart

Life is offensive, no matter what
I do I am made to
feel I have no
say in my
emotions.

When I am happy I am made to
feel selfish, when I am
sad I am made to
feel vexing
notions.

Wherever I turn I am acutely
appalled by the behavior
of others, they sicken
my moral
affairs,

To stop being offended I must
strengthen my character, it
is up to me to recite
my own
prayers.
