Quatrain of Much Prayer

Much Prayer - blessing

As I laid in a medical ward
unable to move my
right leg or
arm,

I thought I would never
write another word,
I cried with
alarm.

After much prayer; help
from medical staff,
my life took a
turn,

I can write again, words
flow from fingers
unraveling life's
concern.

2

I am blessed to have been
given another chance
to express
hope,

I reach for stars to explain
how fragile life is,
crafted from each
isotope.

It is dire not to share life's
patterns through the
gift of word
giving,

Thoughts should always be
written down to continue
to enhance the
living.
