Masked Love- can't see it

I intentionally masked the
love I have for you,
to hide what I
know,

I am afraid if I let you see
my feelings, they will
be hard to
bestow.

If I indicate the depth of my
affection, you may
shy away from
me,

I shall use a mask over my
heart, and sneak up
on you before you
flee.
