Living With Pictures - may turn out to be bad

Before photos became state of the
art, and put on a screen, no
one had to look at a selfie
or a smiling
mug,

Life without pictures was just fine,
only hand-crafted renderings
or memories were
available, nothing
smug.

Then life became driven by pixels
and print, a rude awakening
to real flesh and
bone long ago
conceived,

Perhaps we should learn once again,
how to live without pictures,
we might find life to
be far better
perceived.
