Hurting Forever - sad but true

O, the pain, the pain, it is
so intense, not physical
but slowly oozing
from the
soul,

The body may heal, or not,
but a spiritual life force
will hurt forever, and
take its
toll.

When death comes, the body
won't hurt anymore, but
the spirit will live
on, in
pain,

The torment won't go away,
the damage is done: God
gave no cure; a hurtful
soul is forever tied to
a ball and chain.
