Quatrain of Hunger Within

Love

When love is not enough to satisfy
the hunger within a hallowed
being that life has
given without
debate,

Where do the feelings go to find
wondrous peace and value in
every corner of happiness
and marvelous
fate?

Loving is essential, and living with
just a smile, is not enough
to satisfy the god within,
it's shy by merely a
tad,

Find what you most desire and drive
it to the extreme: acts of pure
want, will give you steely
expiation so as not to go
mad.
