Head It Off - bad things

I always thought it couldn't
happen to me, but then,
sure enough it
did,

Ever since, I have found no
reason it developed,
nor why God did not
forbid.

Had I known it was coming,
I would have tried to
head it off at life's
pass,

I thought I was invincible, it's
easy to believe real life is
on the other side of the
glass.
