Quatrain of Handshakes

Handshakes - that's it

Greetings can be awkward,
handshakes are odd,
hugging is out of the
question.

If you meet me on the street,
just say hello, anything
more feels like
aggression.

If we were meant to fondle
each other, octopus
arms I would have,
you'd be in my
clutches,

But we only have two hands,
neither are designed to
greet the other with
clammy physical
touches.
