Quatrain of Going Away

Leaving You - not easy

Hold my hand as if I'm leaving
for the rest of my life
unabated and
forlorn,

Squeeze hard enough so when
I finally pull free, our
love will feel
shorn.

If we must part for eternity, I
must rid my feelings I
have for you,
magically,

This will leave us going our
separate ways, it is our
calling in life, most
tragically.
