Defensive Living - yep, that's you

You've been on the defensive ever
since you were born, because
when you opened your eyes
you were staring
up.

The world looked extra large, all
you could do was cry for
attention and hope you
were bigger than a
coffee cup.

And when you finally were able to
walk, you realized being low to
the ground was not a trait
that would still your
fears,

Even now, after being full grown,
you believe you have to remain
defensive because you cannot
stand out among your
peers.
