Yorktown Disciple
Quatrain of Blank Slate

Blank Slate - you never had one

You were not a blank slate when you
were born, you came dumb
and without a
clue.

To believe you had no bias to further confound, your slate wasn't clean,
it came with a liberal
view.

It is not your fault how you were
born, but it has become your responsibility to use reason
to fill in the
blanks,

The odds, not good you will overcome
the baggage you claimed, but with
hard work you can overcome
impure thoughts and give
thanks.
