Being First - sometimes

You must always look out for
yourself as you go through
life without being too
unkind to
others,

There are many times when
you come first, but there
are also times you must
ignore your
druthers.

It is fine to win a race or a job
and make everyone else the
loser at your expense,
don't you
know,

Reality consists of doing well
for yourself without cheating
or brow beating, just play
by the rules and fairness
will flow.
