Yorktown Disciple
Quatrain of I Stood By

Waiting

I stood aside as I watched you
go, there was no
reason to say
goodbye,

My thoughts were stuttering in
my mind as I wiped
a tear from my
eye.

We both knew we had to travel
alone, until our love
had grown up
ample,

True commitments must never
be made, with merely
a passing love
sample.
