Quatrain of As I Eat

As I Eat- every blessing counts

Bless this meal, Oh Lord, which
I am about to
consume,

As I eat every last morsel, pray
I don't run out of
room.

And let it do good for me, cause
it to give me all that I
need,

Food can be deadly, purify what
I eat before I
proceed.

Thank you God, for what we find
on the table before
us,

Let it give us energy to do the
work of the Lord without
fuss,

And be there for our needs
whenever they surely
arise,

Bless the life I lead, even if it is
not one you wish, to
idolize.
