Quatrain of An Empty Mind

An Empty Mind - at rest

As darkness spreads across the
land, my mind begins to
empty all of
the day's
expenditures,

I soon find an emptiness filling
what was once heavy thought
and I thank the Lord
for the day's
endeavors.

I find rest settles the soul and
primes me for another day
and all the hassle
entailed just staying
alive,

If the mind could remain empty I
would not have to lift the
notions of my fellowman
and try to morally
strive.
