Quatrain of Accounting For The Soul

Accounting For The Soul - add the good
and the bad

I have crunched the numbers
and found life is not
equal parts of
addition and
subtraction,

With positive notions scrambled
and jostled in the brain,
the more negative
notions gain
attraction.

In an attempt to stay positive,
I need to add all my good
deeds, against all my
failings with
zest.

Even when I find life's balance
sheet in the negative, I
continue to strive
forward as if
I were
blessed.
