Vain Troubles

Vanity rides on your shoulders, self-
importance carried like a
nap-sack on your
back,

You believe the load is heavy, your too
vain to realize I only carry
essentials in my
sack,

The weight of your vain understanding
is far greater than what
you are willing to
express

I will get to the end of the trail sooner,
because I will not have
vanity to unload or
confess
